The Managing Committee of the "Morrison Education Society" having-

represented to me, through their President, Dr Bridgman, that they are much pressed for funds

to carry on the current expenses of the Institution, owing to the exertions they

have recently made in erecting buildings on the lot of ground which was assigned for that purpose

in this Colony, I have thought fit, with reference to my Despatch N. 13, of the 22nd of August last, to authorize the payment

to the Committee of one year's allowance of money (China)
